Signal Hill Park

 

Signal Hill Park is a great place to have fun and play! There is a playground with a lot of cool things to do, and there is also lots of open space for picnicking. It is a popular spot for families and groups of friends to come together and enjoy a day in the sun!

There are four picnic shelters and jumper space available for parties. One of the shelters is right next to the playground, and the other three are scattered over a grassy area. You can reserve any of these shelters, but you should be aware that they are only available for four hours at a time.

Monkey Bars

My kids love challenging themselves beyond the traditional monkey bars, so I was very excited to see that this park had a bunch of different types! I especially love the wobbly contraption - it's a real challenge for little legs (and the adults too!)

The monkey bars are a great place to work on gross motor skills, and you can find a variety of ways to climb them. You can also get a nice workout as you go up and down them!

Views of Long Beach and Los Angeles

This park is a great place to relax with an amazing view of Long Beach. You can see all of the city, and even out to Catalina Island to the southwest. The views from this park are unmatched in the area!

It is also a great place to take in a sunset. There are a lot of benches in this park to sit and watch the sun go down. There is also a nice trail to hike up to the top of the hill, but make sure you bring water!

Hilltop Park is the highest point in Signal Hill and offers a beautiful view of the entire city. On a clear day you can see all the way to downtown LA, all of the mountains in the distance and out to Catalina Island. It is an amazing place to visit and one of the best views in Southern California!

There are some telescopes in the park as well, so you can take in the gorgeous views! The best part about this park is that it has plenty of seating so you can sit and relax, and there is always a fresh breeze from the ocean.

The park also has a mist tower, which is a great place to take in the scenery and enjoy a drink! There is also some public art in the park, including some cut-out frames of local Native Americans.

What's so cool about this park is that it is growing. They are planning to build a new library here soon, so you can keep up with the latest news! They are also going to do different concerts here as well!

There are a lot of places to shop in the area, too. There are several grocery stores, including Walmart, and you can even find an Apple Store here. The area is also home to some of the best restaurants in the city!
