Oak Park Library


Oak Park Library is a small public library located in the city of Oak Park, Ventura County, California. It serves the entire community.

The library is housed in a 5,200 square foot building at 834 Lake Street. It has three floors and is staffed by five librarians, who are very helpful in getting you what you need.

There are many computers available for use by the public, some of which are equipped with "ease of access" shortcuts to assist those with vision or other impairments in performing their tasks. Some are also accessible by touch-screens and have high-contrast settings, a narrator feature, or are equipped with a built-in magnifier.

You can find a wide variety of books and media at the library, as well as free access to many online resources. The library also offers a number of free educational programs for children, teens, and adults in the community.

It's a great place to study or to meet with friends and family, with many seating areas to choose from. The branch also boasts a state-of-the-art computer lab with free WiFi, and a large conference room that can accommodate up to 40 people.

The library has an extensive collection of e-books and digital magazines, including titles from the Library of Congress, ALA, New York Times, Washington Post, and more. It also has an excellent selection of audiobooks and a plethora of video and DVDs.

In addition to the main library building, the library has a small satellite library on Brookside Elementary School's campus. There are also several other neighborhood libraries in the area.

Located near the Simi Hills, the community has a diverse ecosystem with various types of trees and plants ranging from desert grasslands to chaparral shrubs to oak woodlands and more. It is a part of a wildlife corridor that connects the San Gabriel Mountains, Santa Susana Mountains, and Santa Monica Mountains.

There is a variety of parks and recreational facilities in the community, and the Rancho Simi Recreation and Park District manages many of them. There are also numerous trails in the area, which are used for hiking, running, horseback riding, climbing, and mountain biking.
